After spiraling into the depths of her addiction, Jackie started her recovery journey in 1986. She is a strong advocate of Smart Recovery and the 12-step program. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced during the recovery process, Jackie brings authenticity, empathy, compassion, honesty, and respect to her work. Her authenticity encourages patients to trust in her guidance and embrace their own resilience. She demonstrates empathy by genuinely understanding her patients’ struggles and empowering them to recognize their inner strength, providing a safe space for them to express their feelings and emotions. Her compassion and honesty cultivate a space where patients feel heard, understood, and respected, motivating them to tap into their inner resources.

Jackie has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management, and will graduate with Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in December 2024. Jackie is married to her partner of twenty-three years, Omni, and they have three fur babies. Leisure time is spent hiking, walking the dogs, traveling, swimming, rowing, paddle boarding, reading, movies, spending time with relatives, and connecting with others.
