BIO

LauraTendler is a proud Indigenous woman in long term recovery.

She was born and raised on Treaty 4 Territory.

Laura grew up not understanding the impacts of intergenerational trauma and what they did to her nervous system. The dysfunction inside herself left her faced with a substance disorder for years. It wasn’t until a near death experience that scared her into sobriety, followed by a life of recovery.

Laura completed a Bachelors degree in Indigenous Social work. She has done an intense amount of work with youth and substance prevention and education.

Laura Tendler is extremely proud to say she is a cycle breaker. She continues to honour those who never found recovery by educating and empowering those around her.
