Speaker: Courtney Culham
Session Description:
Comorbidity between borderline personality disorder (BPD) and other mental disorders, including Substance Use Disorder, is common. No specific pharmacological treatments have been approved for the treatment of BPD, although many drugs, including antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and even benzodiazepines, are routinely prescribed off-label. We will discuss the current research on prescription medications, specifically D2 Partial Agonist, for BPD and Comorbid Substance Use Disorder as an adjunct to BPD-specific psychotherapy.
